I don’t know where to find the episode but you have to watch the host chat to understand what happened. The mouth-covering incident came later. Kelly Ripa wasn’t really upset about germs or anything like that. It’s because it was extremely rude. And it wasn’t the first rude thing he did to Kelly that day. During the whole host chat he was making fun of her repeatedly. And not good-natured ribbing. Kelly is used to getting that from Regis. No. This was nasty comments—insults.

On “The View” a few days later they were discussing the incident. Kelly Ripa called in to the show. She said, “I was not combative or attacking him in any way. I was very warm… The reality is he never said, `thank you, this was pleasant’ or anything. It was just sort of, `I’m going to use this opportunity to steamroll over you because I’ve been bullied so much but now I’m going to bully you.’”

And that’s exactly right. He was bullying her. He was relentless. All his fans should see that segment to see how he really is. He’s immature, he’s a total a-hole.

And it’s true, Kelly has covered Regis’s mouth in the past. But that’s because she was trying to prevent him from giving away the answer to their trivia contest where they give away a car.

If you watch these video clips out of context you won’t understand what’s really going on.

It’s tragic that she’s been vilified by so many people who are completely ignorant of what really happened.

I just think it was a minor snafu that the media and Rosie O’Donnell blew way out of proportion.. The only people that acted normally during the whole thing were the two that let it go after it was said and done.. Kelly and Clay.
