obviously accurate. Here is the answer that a couple gave thumbs down. - Did Pagan Constantine contribute in writing the word of God?

It is worth noting, and well known throughout the religious world, that the choice of the present four “gospels” of the New Testament (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) were imposed in the Council of Nicea 325 CE for political purposes under the auspices of the pagan Emperor Constantine, and not by Jesus. Constantine’s mind had not been enlightened either by study or by inspiration. He was a pagan, a tyrant and criminal who murdered his son, his wife and thousands of innocent individuals because of his lust for political power. Constantine ratified other decisions in the Nicene Creed such as the decision to call Christ “the Son of God

some people believe that you shold not question religion nor spit the truth. I am a 32 yr old catholic, went to catholic school and my children are catholic. Growing up when I questioned my faith, it was as if I just commited a holy crime. I personaly believe all things are questionable and there are answers for most. The thumbs down was probably someone rejecting truth. Religion is based on faith, faith in stories of other faithful belivers. when I went to college and took theology class, I was amazed by facts! Now my faith never deminished…I still believe in Jesus Christ, not because he is the son of God, but because he is my human, god like, figure to asimulate human life with eturnal life! I would have given you thumbs up for knowing your facts!

Constantine encouraged the formation of the Council of Nicea. He did not participate or attend it. And even if he DID, that would just make him part of editting the word of God, not writing it. Your answer is doubly wrong, which I’ll presume is the reason why someone gave you a thumbs down.

(The DaVinci Code is not history. Good grief, I hate that book, which is what popularized this rediculous notion.)
