The more people say that, the more pissed off Hillary’s voters get. And I think they’re pissed off enough, as it is.
It’s insulting to women to assume that they would vote for a candidate based on gender. If this were the case, Hillary would have won the nomination, no contest.
This is kind of a dumb question because when Hillary campaigned against Obama her issues were different, so to say that a Hillary supporter has to support Obama is stupid.
It is okay for blacks to vote for Obama because he is HALF black? Because that is EXACTLY what is happening. But you are saying it is NOT ok for a women to vote for McCain because his VP is a women? Come on are you kidding me right now?
If here politics weren’t so radically right then the Republicans might have picked up some. But I’m with you, I can’t believe any will after hearing her glib attack at the convention, and the interview with Charlie. Honestly, how can Republicans take her seriously?
There were a lot of Moderate Women who also voted for Hillary, and those are most of the Votes Barack Hussein Obama will not be getting. But thankfully it should be enough to keep him out of the White House, which is good enough for me.I didn’t really feel like living in a Marxist Country,I’ve sort of gotten used to living as a Free Person. If anyone had their hearts set on living under a Marxist President, there’s always Venezuela.
Yes Why shouldnt they,She is just as qualified as Hillary, The Blacks are voting for Obama because he is Black with them its pride. Racism will exist in this country as long as you have people talking about it.
a lot of mccain voters call him up and act as if though they are liberals who won’t vote for obama, but they are just acting like that so they can try to make democrat voters less confident
it’s all part of limbaugh’s operation chaos movement
The polls have consistently reported that 20-25% of Hillary supporters will vote Republican because of what was done to Hillary. Ever heard of Democrats for McCain or PUMA (Party Unity My A**)? With the razor thin margins in the last two election, this may be enough to throw it to McCain.
I was a huge supporter of Hilary but will now vote for Barack theres no way I would ever vote for McCain/Palin just because shes a woman. I don’t agree with nearly any of her views.
No true supporter of Hillary could, in good conscience, vote for Palin. A person claiming to be a Hillary supporter could only be voting for Palin on the basis of gender because otherwise there would be no explainable logic to such a vote. Hillary’s positions on the issues are the opposite of Palin’s.
Any woman that wants to support a strong woman that rose to power and did it on her own would strongly support Palin. The funny thing is they shouldn’t support Hillary. Hillary got to where she is through marriage then stayed there by playing the victim when it became public that her husband has sex with, often through sexual assault, anything he can. That’s not a strong woman.
Palin is a strong woman and fits what all women should support. She can raise a family and run a gov’t. She doesn’t take anything from any man or person and does what she believes is right for this. That should be strongly supported.
Voting for a woman because she’s a woman may be sexist though history shows women don’t vote based on gender. Currently more men support Palin than women. Voting for someone because they are black is racist and history shows that over 95% of blacks vote Democrat.
“In fact, isn’t a woman who would vote for someone on the basis of gender alone, by definition sexist?”
Yes, yes and Yes and so is the RP for thinking that “women” are impressed because they have a “female” VP.
I’m not basing my vote on Gender,Race or AGE, I’m basing it on CONTENT of Character.
We are all looking for a LEADER not an Barbie “Action Figure” and
I was personally offended that the RP was so careless and patronizing to women in their choice for VP.
I was a Hillary supporter (though not the media represented demographic) when she lost the primaries I was absolutely fine with supporting Obama as I am not a sore loser and I understand that Obama’s POLICIES are closer to Hillary’s.
With that said I don’t believe that any intelligent or educated Hillary supporter is voting for Mc Cain I just don’t believe it - I think that is one of those mind trick mantras trying to pick up a few stupids along the way.
Today the organization NOW will announce their endorsement for Obama which they believe is more in line with women’s interests than the Mcsame and Palin ticket. They (NOW) were overwhelmingly Hillary supporters.
Hopefully this will show any Hillary supporters hindered by poor sportsmanship in the political game that they really need to pull their heads out as Palin is anti woman she is one of the token “good ol boys” girl…she likes the condescending head pats I guess.
No not becuase of Hillary. I still was going to and still am going to vote for JOHN MCCAIN, but now that there is a Female running for VP, this gives me more reason to vote for JOHN MCCAIN/PALIN ‘08.
No way. It’s offensive McCain thinks “any woman will do.” They don’t even compare. Palin is a redneck idiot who thinks “seeing” Russia counts as international experience.
First I take issue with your characterization of Hillary representing the “far left” for this is simply wrong .
Hillary and Bill are in fact along with Tony Blair of England the perfect examples of third way politicians.
)
From the above:
“The Third Way, or Radical center, is a centrist political philosophy of governance that embraces a mix of market and interventionist philosophies. ”
Hillary is in fact a Centrist.
Palin on the other hand is un-questionably on the far right especially in respect to her “social values” and so far she has agreed with the far right neo-conservatives on virtually everything.
Ergo,Palin is on the radical right while Hillary is in the center.
Any person who votes for a candidate soley on the bases of colour, sex, sexual orientation, ethnicity etc are simply RACISTS and the term sexist is to gentle a word to use to describe what such people are.
Make no mistake for example that any Black who votes for Obama soley on the bases of his colour is a RACIST as much as any White who does not vote for Obama soley because of his colour.
Any citizen who votes for a candidate on the bases of personal attributes rather than on the issues ,is for the most part an irresponsible voter who simply deserves what they get and Bush is a perfect example of the majority of Americans voting for a candidate NOT on the issues but on the personal characteristics of the candidate.
Like all irresponsible voters, these hypocrites are the first to blame Bush for the mess the US is in instead of rightly holding themselves responsible for having re-elected this fear and war mongering Christian fundamentalist.
So far it appears Americans again are going to vote not on the issues but on those that can best use and abuse and manipulate God and patriotism for their own banal aims .
A McCain win profoundly means a 3rd Bush term and make no mistake about it .

How many blacks are going to vote for Obama because he is black?
There are many reasons Palin will make a good VP. I will not name a single one because it don’t matter to you, and would be a waste of my time.
Your mind is made up, so go ahead and vote for your crazy liberal nuts.
